  • Sports Ministry helps the Church to reach out to young people in the community. It can encourage children and youth to play their sport on a Saturday, giving time to pray on Sundays.
  • Sports Ministry gives contact with a variety of people. Adults can be encouraged to stay involved in sport by helping with coaching, managing, refereeing and first aid.
  • Sports Ministry is inclusive of all ethnic groups who can be encouraged to play together.
  • Social activities can extend through the Saturday activity.
  • Our experience shows that Sports Ministry can encourage people to attend Church activities and services. It can become a useful area of evangelism, or at least, good contact with the local community.
